Overview

In addition to serving Izumo City, Izumo Airport is also just 15km away from Matsue City, the home of Shimane Prefectural Government Office. There are no scheduled flights to Izumo. However, the airport is the only one in Shimane Prefecture to have flights to all three major metropolitan areas in Japan thanks to its connections with Tokyo Haneda, Osaka Itami, and both Nagoya Komaki and Chubu airports.
